सट्की तुम्हारी तो ‘दगा’ दे दिया !

‘टपरा तलाशा ‘

 तलाश  पूरी  हुई

देखा  तमाशा

 तमाश  पूरी  हुई …

 अटकी  तुम्हारी  तो वफ़ा का वास्ता ;

Aur Ho Aur Ho Saans Ka Shor Ho!

I went to watch Rockstar in 2011 when it was released with my cook in Bangalore. This film was so boring that I left hall long before it ended. Heroine falls sick and hero visits her, she repels him and then again falls sick and it keeps happening. Relations are complicated but it was beyond me to keep waiting till climax. The cook couldn’t understand why I left hall early despite having spent a large sum for two tickets. I didn’t bother to explain him. After many years I downloaded an album of songs sung by Mohit Chauhan and many of them were from Rockstar. As I kept listening to them they kept growing on me. It has such beautiful gems that it might be one of the best Hindi film albums of the last decade.

The song below always used to come towards the end in the audio album and it has fascinating lyrics by Irshad Kamil. I hope you will enjoy listening it.

Irene Adler!

Irene Adler,

Richard Bandler,

Humpty Dumpty Down,

Frown on the gown,

Frog and crow

Half way street

Not so discrete!

Merriment and laughter,

Saunter santa clauses

Eternal recurrence,

Darkness and scent

Phantom of opera,

Musketeers with mascara,

Gone with the wind,

Front and hind.

Never look back at abyss,

Shhh it might kiss!

Kissing will haunt.

Giving thousand taunts.

Limerick Poetry Challenge Week 2: Bliss!

This is in response to Rashmi’s Limerick Poetry Challenge at Mind and Life Matters! This week’s theme is bliss.

I am on a fast,
Bliss will not last,
With so many friends,
New trends,
You are already having,
A pretty blast!

A Free Style Limerick!

Actually it’s something free-style and I don’t know what. It’s upto you to decide!

I am taking part in Rashmi’s Limerick Poetry Challenge! It’s a well organized challenge with flexible rules. This week’s theme is Fall. Please check the link for more information about the rules. Here is my entry:

It’s a free fall,

Into the abyss,

In search of bliss,

A divine kiss,

Never goes amiss,

Along the vine,

Lives a miss,

She often says ‘hiss,’

Goofy pental,

Seldom mental,

Harangue gentle,

Toadying bore,

Laughter galore,

This is all,

There is,

Dear pal,

For it’s

A free fall!

Farewell to Mango Tree

This post by Fun Simplicity is such a comely expression of tender feelings we observe as young children and caregivers, when we are sensitive and loving. I also love the picture. Thanks Fun!

I’m nobody! Who are you?

Beach 8

I’m nobody! Who are you?
Are you nobody, too?
Then there’s a pair of us — don’t tell!
They’d banish us, you know.

How dreary to be somebody!
How public, like a frog
To tell your name the livelong day
To an admiring bog!

Emily Dickinson.

Listen, O drop!

“Listen, O drop, give yourself up without regret,
and in exchange gain the Ocean.
Listen, O drop, bestow upon yourself this honor,
and in the arms of the Sea be secure.
Who indeed should be so fortunate?
An Ocean wooing a drop!
In God’s name, in God’s name, sell and buy at once!
Give a drop, and take this Sea full of pearls.”

Mawlana Jalal Ad-Din Rumi

A Sepal- Petal and A Thorn!

A sepal-petal, and a thorn
Upon a common summer’s morn,
A flash of dew, a bee or two,
A breeze
A caper in the trees,—
And I’m a rose!

Emily Dickinson
