Whatever you think, speak or do is a radiation for totality. It has always been so–now after awakening you realize it more than ever. All words you think, write and all expressions via body, mind and speech are radiations. If you feel you belong to a community of light workers, angels, humanity, star-seeds or gods—your expressions, your creativity is connecting you to the mind-continuum of those very beings across time and space. Absorption is receiving words, light-codes, energy in all its possible forms from all existence. If you feel you belong to a certain group you will receive light from them. The actuality of radiation and absorption–the interconnections of various forms of consciousness and dependent arising of all phenomena becomes overwhelming and then enlightening as you awake towards your full-potential. Acceptance is the Core of Spirituality!
Acceptance is the core of spirituality. There are some moments in our lives when it feels perfect. You’re at home. You feel completely harmonious and peaceful. You feel full. You don’t need anything to become fuller or better. That is the state of acceptance. Sages always stay in acceptance. Can we also learn acceptance? Why should we learn it?
It’s not that we have not practiced acceptance in our lives. We have. Many times. But it has mostly been forced. There are things which are beyond our control. In fact most of what happens is beyond control. This is the truth. Those who say you can change this or that don’t say much. The truth is, you can change your attitude and live peacefully or you can keep trying to change the world out there and remain restless. You can’t choose your parents, they have already been chosen for you. Similarly most of your siblings, your friends, your neighbors were given to you even before you were born. You can’t go back and change them. We have been practicing acceptance all our lives but the understanding of it makes it conscious, beautiful and makes your life beautiful too.
Thoughts Have No Periods!
Pain is pain. Pleasure is also painful. It’s not about the experience but about the craving. Craving for happiness is our nature. Our true nature is bliss. Craving for happiness causes unhappiness. We all shun pain and run after pleasure but pleasure ever keeps running away from you if you keep chasing it!
When you are craving pleasure, its absence causes pain. When you are indulging in pleasure the fear that it might go away is always present and causes pain. When pleasure has gone away the memory of pleasure causes pain. So your life moves from pain to pain and in pain. Unhappiness has been termed pain in this discussion. Pain strictly is healing mechanism of body.
Peace is beyond unhappiness and happiness. Bliss is beyond pleasure and pain. Love is beyond pain and pleasure. Light is knowing this! Peace, bliss and love have no opposites. Light has no opposite. Darkness is the absence of light. Goodness has no opposite, evil is the absence!
When you stop craving for pleasure, pain stops. When you accept life, life accepts you!
Yield and remain whole
Bend and remain straight
Be low and become filled
Be worn out and become renewed
Have little and receive
Have much and be confused
Therefore the sages hold to the one as an example for the world
Without flaunting themselves – and so are seen clearly
Without presuming themselves – and so are distinguished
Without praising themselves – and so have merit
Without boasting about themselves – and so are lasting
Because they do not contend, the world cannot contend with them
What the ancients called “the one who yields and remains whole”
Were they speaking empty words?
Sincerity becoming whole, and returning to oneself
Give whatever positive you have. The universe is your own self because reality is one. Whatever you give to others you get back. More you give more you get, so expansion of heart takes place as the loving energy embraces you when you give. Don’t be miserly. Give and you would get a thousand times more, give that back and you would get a million times more. Don’t say you don’t have anything, you have something which others lack, give it to others without expecting anything in return. If you don’t have anything just greet people with a kind smile, be generous with appreciation and show your respect to others.
There was a mad woman. She was convinced that her body was not physical. She was sure that her body was sublime and divine. She used to say that there was no body as beautiful as her’s on earth. One day that woman was brought before a big mirror fixed on a wall. As soon as she looked at her reflection in the mirror she became extremely furious and agitated. She picked up a chair which was near her in the room and vehemently broke the mirror by throwing it. Once the mirror was broken she sighed with relief.

Tao Te Ching-16
Attain the ultimate emptiness
Hold on to the truest tranquility
The myriad things are all active
I therefore watch their return
Everything flourishes; each returns to its root
Returning to the root is called tranquility
Tranquility is called returning to one’s nature
Returning to one’s nature is called constancy
Knowing constancy is called clarity
Not knowing constancy, one recklessly causes trouble
Knowing constancy is acceptance
Acceptance is impartiality
Impartiality is sovereign
Sovereign is Heaven
Heaven is Tao
Tao is eternal
The self is no more, without danger
You have heard about surrender. You know why acceptance is so important for being peaceful. Any situation in your life, whether it’s pleasant or unpleasant is the reality of the moment. Acceptance and surrender to life are keys to spiritual growth. Surrendering to life is saying yes to whatever is. It doesn’t however mean to stop working for what seems right to you. Acceptance means that you acknowledge the situation and instead of wasting your energies in complaining and whining, start putting them in more creative ways to improve the situation.
Some situations in life are beyond correction and improvement. You can’t work to change them. They are your destiny. Some things are simply beyond our control. You can’t bring your childhood back. If you lost a loved one you might not be able to contact him ever again. There are infinite such situations where we have to either accept or to suffer miserably. These situations force you to surrender to life and goad you to embrace acceptance over wallowing in self-pity and tears. But there are some other situations where you might feel that they are not impossible to work upon. You feel that just a punch here and a kick there would turn things the way you always wanted them to. In such situations, you might find yourself procrastinating, complaining, quarreling and regretting over things, where it would be a thousand times better if you just start working to improve them. Acceptance of what is connects to the core of your being and you start feeling the free flow of life which got inhibited earlier. Complaining and crying over matters doesn’t really change them–it can, at best delay changes, if changes are possible at all. Continue reading “Do spiritual people ever need to take a stand?”
