Horoscope of Pandit Shri Ram Sharma Acharya!

Acharya Ji was a visionary sage and founder of All World Gayatri Parivar. He worked extensively for reforming Indian society and his ideas which he expressed in voluminous books formed a substantial spiritual literature which contributed in shaping India’s spiritual consciousness in the twentieth century and thereafter. I had the great fortune of reading his books in my boyhood and they shaped my mind for better. Let’s examine his horoscope briefly here.

Observations:

Pravrajya Yoga:

Moon is in the navamsa of Mars and aspected by Saturn in Rashi. As I’ve so often suggested in these articles there is no black and white in renunciation. Saturn doesn’t aspect Moon fully and Moon is also influenced by Venus and Mercury. The aspect of Saturn is stronger when it’s the sole aspect. It’s evident that he lived a very rigorous life of an ascetic and despised luxuries.

Ishta/Kashta Fala:

Out of 7 major planets only two (Mercury, Venus) give Ishta fala and rest of the planets give Kashta fala in his chart. This makes clear why he renounced his ancestral properties for social welfare and went on difficult pilgrimages many times. He was socially and religiously active since young age and chose a life which made a difference in the lives of many others.

Authorship :

Jupiter and Moon are located together in the sign Aries in the 5th house from Atmakaraka in the navamsa. BPHS suggests this combination for an excellent author. He wrote many books all his life for increasing spiritual awareness of mankind. His books are a harmonious synthesis of Science and Spirituality.

Gayatri :
Saturn is his Atmakaraka which is conjunct Ketu in Rashi as well as in Navamsa. The retrograde atmakaraka suggests a deep-rooted desire as the cause of birth–here it’s the urge to alleviate the suffering of elders, poor and downtrodden. He was a great social servant and reformer. The 12th house from Atmakaraka has Venus in the navamsa which suggests that loving Goddess Gayatri was her Ishta deity. Atmakaraka is located in the sign Sagittarius which often suggests an active religious or cultural iconic figure in such nativities.

Sadhu Yoga:

Only benefics in the 3rd and 6th from Arudha Lagna suggest a saintly person. Venus, Mercury and Moon are located in the 3rd from Arudha lagna .

Paasa Yoga:

Suggests a talkative and characterless person who might be imprisoned. He was imprisoned for a while during Indian independence struggle against British regime. His autobiographical records show how he used this time to teach himself various languages.

Sangha: All World Gayatri Parivaar

Acharya Ji created a very well-connected global family of volunteers who are acting for making world a better place to live. Their motto is: the world will change when we change ourselves for better. The true change begins at the level of person and his family. The chart shows the promise for such a Sangha in that Lagna lord Venus is well placed in the 11th house with Moon and Mercury and Mars aspects this conglomeration. 11th is the final Kama house–it suggests impersonal desires and well-connected communities.

Dharma-Karmadhipati Yoga

9th lord Mercury joins 10th lord Moon in the 11th house which makes him a dutiful person and a high achiever especially in the creation of a Sangha. Out of all spiritual communities created in the 20th century AWGP is one of the most successful.

Saturn attains cancellation of debility in the 7th house and aspects Lagna. Jupiter is located in Lagna giving him a magnanimous personality. Ketu in the lagna suggests great intuition. Sun in the 12th house suggests a great spiritual personality. Mercury, Venus and Moon in the 11th house suggest a person who is very popular, versatile genius and magnetic. He was a great scholar.  Moon in the Magha nakshtra suggests a spiritual person who is able to leave body at will. His last moments verify this–listening the prayer to Goddess he left his body instantly. Sun in the 12th and Mars in the 8th house suggest a spiritual person who investigated thoroughly into the occult. Exalted Mercury in the navamsa suggests a very refined intellect. Kama and Moksha trines are well-developed and he worked for communal harmony and encouraged Bhakti Yoga along with selfless service.

In the Vimshamsa chart(which shows religious inclinations) you observe a harmonious relationship between 5th, 8th and 12th houses which suggest that he worked primarily with Mantras and prayers and was a great devotee of mother goddess Gayatri.
